Coaching

Taking what you do best and making it great…

My aim is to make sure you have the tools and resources you need to become self-sufficient.

And to make sure you know how to use them to create your own solutions and find ways to answer your own questions.

I’m here as a resource of knowledge, support and accountability, to help you shake things off when you get stuck.

Your purpose and goals will drive our conversations. During the first session, a code of communication is established, based on non-judgement, the Honorific Code and taking a ‘results orientation’.

I’ll let you know how my strengths will show up during coaching and how you can count on me. I’ll take on your objectives as my own and will give you feedback on your progress towards them.

This is about accelerating your growth and learning, and because of this, I’ll be asking you to step out of your comfort zone and into your growth zone. This means being open and willing to see what is happening for you so you can learn from it, and expand your mental map of ‘what you know’.

There are challenges ahead!

Enacting your strengths means overcoming limitations, whether self-imposed or external. That means stepping into the unknown.

I’m here to help you orient yourself in relation to the unknown, so that you feel ready to take on those challenges.

Each session will be driven by what you want to explore. The guiding purpose of all our conversations is to mitigate your frustrations and increase the effective use of your strengths.

Your one-to-one sessions will take place over voice-call.

The framework I follow in assessing ways forward, is Narrative Strategy… as in things make sense when you tell the story. When you situate yourself in narrative, when you put yourself into the story, two important things happen… there’s an element of disassociation as you move from protagonist to narrator. This space allows you to step out of what you think you know and away from the emotions of the situation. This means you can shift your perspective and see things from multiple points of view, increasing your available data for decisions about navigating forward.

And the best bit is that narrative strategy is completely native to the way human brains and minds work, so it’s perfectly intuitive and immediate to grasp.

In this way, you’ll massively expand your capacity to perceive and conceive solutions for yourself.

That’s my goal… for you to have so vastly increased your mental maps, that you don’t need me for solutions anymore!

Let’s have a conversation!

P.S. The top-most, number one, all-time, favourite tool that I’m going to share with you is Grounding.

It’s a primo-supremo way to maintain your spiritual, intellectual and emotional hygiene!

Grounding is simple to learn and use to feel better everyday.

P.P.S. I got my coaching certification being trained in the language of Strengths, using the Clifton Strengths Finder. It gave me ways to talk about things which were difficult to even find the words for. If you’re familiar with Strengths then we’ll geek out together about it. Otherwise, I’ll share with you as much as will be useful to you.

I also find the Multiple Intelligences to be another very useful tool, for instantly increasing the number of perspectives you’re able to think from.
